Ashland Place located along Hoover Avenue, Ashland Avenue, and Vernon Avenue, Ashland Place historic district's architecture is dominated by Bungalow and Period Revival styles. It was developed in the 1920’s when visionary leader Dwight B. Heard’s “Los Olivos” subdivision was re-subdivided to correspond with the busy time’s demand for smaller lots. Originally offered at $25 per month, these homes were primarily constructed between 1923 and 1927.
