The Alvarado historic district of Phoenix Arizona is home of the internationally-known Heard Museum, the Alvarado historic district neighborhood’s 30 homes typically feature Period Revival architectural styles including Spanish and American Colonial, Elizabethan/Tudor and Georgian.  The Alvarado histroic district is a historically rich and tree-laden neighborhood that was originally referred to as Los Olivos.  Olive trees as well as palms are focal points on the narrow streets of the Alvarado historic district of Phoenix AZ. The Alvarado historic district is located along the intersection of Monte Vista and Alvarado roads and extends northward to the Oak Street alignment, east to 3rd Street, and south to Palm Lane.
