The University Square project calls for a 1.5 million square-foot, mixed-use project in downtown Tempe that the city hopes will aid in the re-development of the ASU main campus in downtown Tempe. The University Square development is a $500 million project that will be located in downtown Tempe, Next to ASU main campus at Mill Avenue and University. University Square Mixed use project will provide new commercial space as well as residential condominium units.
The University Square project will encompass a 240,000 square-foot office tower with 12 floors, a 30-story hotel condo tower with 225 rooms and additional condo units, a 23-story residential tower, ground floor retail and a variety of upscale restaurants. University Square will feature on-site above-ground and below-ground parking. Formal zoning for the University Square project was filed on May 9th and is expected to be approved in late summer 2006.
